Product Details

This reproduction 14thC-15thC Medieval folding knife has a distinctive zoomorphic outline of an unidentified animal; rat, mouse, horse?  Who knows?  But it is pretty and is decorated with the commonly found ‘dot and circle’ motif popular from Roman to Renaissance times.  Based on a Thames find and is available in either bone as the original was, or horn.

This could of course be a razor, but is much more likely to simply be a folding knife as they would have found these as useful as we do and very handy to keep in your pouch.  The blade is held open with the thumb tag rather than being a ‘friction folder’. The blade is sold sharp.

Comes with a naturally tanned, fold over leather cover.

Overall length - 17.5cm/7"
Grip Length - 10cm/4"
Blade length - 7.5cm/3"
